Andrew Freeman listed as singer for Once Bitten with Terry Ilous a special guest vocalist for select dates

After former Great White lead vocalist Jack Russell passed away at the age of 63 on August 15th of this year, his remaining bandmates in Jack Russell’s Great White — consisting of guitarist Robby Lochner, bassist Dan McNay, guitarist / keyboardist Tony Montana and drummer Ken Mary — announced that they would be forging ahead under the band name Once Bitten.

Eight days after Russell‘s passing, Once Bitten played a show at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois, USA with Terry Ilous(XYZ, ex-Great White) handling the lead vocals.

Once Bitten now have their own website where the band members are listed as Lochner, McNay, Montana, Mary and Andrew Freeman (presumably on lead vocals). Ilous is listed as a special gust vocalist for select dates.

Freeman was the lead vocalist in Great White (featuring lead guitarist Mark Kendall and keyboardist / guitarist Michael Lardie) in 2022 and he also filled in for Russell in Jack Russell’s Great White for a few shows in 2024. Freeman is also currently the lead vocalist for Last In Line, which also includes Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard, ex-Dio, ex-Whitesnake) on guitar, Phil Soussan (ex-Ozzy Osbourne) on bass and Vinny Appice (ex-Dio, ex-Black Sabbath) on drums. The new Once Bitten singer also previously handled lead vocals for Hurricane (2010-2013) and Lynch Mob (2003, 2010 and 2019) amongst others.
